The National Digestive Diseases Information Clearinghouse
The clearinghouse is a service of the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK). NIDDK offers information on management of chronic hepatitis C. Among other items, this information details risk factors and transmission, clinical symptoms and signs, and a diagnosis. NIDDK also explains treatment options, as well as treatment sequelae. NIDDK also provides information on how to order free copies of hepatitis C patient education materials, including online and hard-copy brochures and information for patients. National Foundation for Infectious Diseases
This Website provides a fact sheet on hepatitis C that includes information on the scope and trends of the problem, sequelae, treatment, costs, challenges, and goals, risk groups, and research priorities.

This Federal Government Website provides numerous general and clinical documents on HCV. Included on the National Institutes of Health (NIH) site is MEDLINEplus, which offers a fact sheet on hepatitis C, including symptoms, treatment, support groups, prognosis, and complications.
National Minority AIDS Council
The "NMAC is the premier national organization dedicated to developing leadership within communities of color to address the challenges of HIV/AIDS in correctional settings." Among other resources, the National Minority AIDS Council (NMAC) publishes a quarterly newsletter, NMAC Lifeline, as well as reference manuals and brochures. Newsletters and other publications may be searched on NMAC's Website. This Website also offers opportunities to order educational videos, attend virtual conferences, and download transcripts of video presentations and chat series.
The Treatment Improvement Exchange
At this Center for Substance Abuse Treatment Website, there is a special topic area, "Substance Abuse and Infectious Disease: Cross-Training for Collaborative Systems of Prevention, Treatment and Care." This topic addresses a new approach for care of individuals who use and abuse alcohol and drugs.
